Starting question
Hello ORG members,
I wonder if this is normal or not. When I start my car after it was standing for a while, I hear some wining sound during start up. RPM seems to be ok. wining hapens only for like 1 or 2 seconds. this doesn't happens when car is warm. it doesn't look like a alternator belt squeel either. It sounds like an electric motor with worn bearings.... WWHHZZZ..

Exact same noise that I hear, doesn't sound like a squeaky belt but more like a bad bearing. Only for a second when I first start the car up, and not every time. I know its not my belts ...they were just replaced at the dealer and the noise is still there. I was thinking alternator or A/C compressor...anyone else had/have this noise?
prolly the starter whining down. im not sure if they have an overrun clutch on the starter or not. that or the alternator just charging back up the battery from the massive amount of current you drained while starting it.
