repairing heated seats

It seems the lower cushion on the driver side isnt working anymore, the back (lower Lumbar) is however. Anyway know how to fix this? I'm thinking a wire came loose, or something. Anyone ever played with it?

Thanks

had the same problem under warranty. dealer replaced the 'butt side' element twice before it worked for good. they had to take the leather skin off the bottom to replace, wonder how they'd do that on the seat back..

once my warranty ran out, the lumbar part went out.. haven't checked the connections, but I'll bet it's the element.

All that jumping in and out of the seat might have something to do with it.. of course these things should be built to take it.

all i can say is dont even think about doing it yourself, it is so worth it to take it to someone and get it done than to get yourself into that mess..........you need a special tool and these rings i like to call bull noses to get the seat cover back on. let alone you have to take the seat out, just trust me on this one when i say that it is of your best interest to take it to the dealer on this one man.

If you do take the seat out (four bolts and three connectors), make sure you don't try and start the car. It will throw an air bag code that the dealer will need to reset. I'd measure the resistance of the driver and passenger side heaters and make sure they are close. Chances are if one is broke you will notice it with a meter. Can't be that hard to replace if it is broke.
