5th Gen audio guys help!
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=354026
I'm having a real problem with my Bose system. I won't post the body of the thread here, since it's already in the Audio section, but I figured that it would get better exposure with the 5th gen guys if I posted a link here.

very common problem... take it in and have them replace the head unit under warranty... it'll come back later though... I'm on my 2nd HU ...
By the way, like he said... take a look through these threads.... people post about this a lot here... ya might find some ideas in those, but I've given up and will just keep replacing my HU until I get one that works... which will be never.. haha...

I'd love to get the HU replaced under warranty. Unfortunately, my 36k warranty is up. I'd have to buy a new HU and pay for the install. Screw that. I'll just wait and save to get an aftermarket HU and speakers. It may take a long time, but I'd rather do that than drop the outrageous amount money that a dealership would ask for a stock HU.

But yeah, if you do have to pay for it... screw it...

Thanks for all the input, guys! I think sucks that the search feature is disabled on the org, but I went and sifted through some old posts until I found an answer that may even help those of us who are out of warranty. This left-side speaker failure is a known issue to Nissan, and there was a TSB issued for 5th gen Maximas with the Bose system.
