245's would also give you a little more sidewall so to answer your question...yes. 245's would be better.

I'm not sure the width of the tire will be as much of a factor as the thickness (35) of the tire. I have 245/35-19 and the ride is definitely more rough than with my stock tires/wheels/suspension. But I'll sacrifice the slightly more rough ride for the awesome looks.

when will people understand the fact that the middle number is not consistant. hence why it is called aspect ratio. the middle number is the percentage of the width of the tire. if that makes any sense to you at all.

ie 245/35 35 represents 35% of 245 that is your sidewall height. 235/35 is less sidewall.

I live in The Palm Springs area, so our roads are in good shape.

I always thought the bigger the rims and tires, the smoother the ride?
