subwoofer tube or box??

so, i was thinking of installing a subwoofer tube in my 01, i dont have the bose system, but wanted to up the sound. should i go with a subwoofer tube? its a little cheaper, and i just want to get a little bass in the music, will it sound like crap in the trunk? ive already upgraded the speakers, which means i should probably upgrade the stereo too? anybody with subwoofer tubes or boxes? and what do they sound like in the trunk, any rattling?

I would not get a tube. You should try to get the Infinity Basslink. The sound is great and it's small and light so it fits in the trunk perfectly.

I second this. Basslink is great if you don't want HUGE bass, and also need the space. They are pretty cheap on EBay too.

I would also check your local Jl Audio dealer. Jl makes a bunch of pre-made enclosures than look and sound awesome. I've never heard the Infinity Bass link, but I've run Jl Audio products in my last 4 cars, and they're well worth it. Go to your local "Reputable" stereo shop and listen for yourself. Best case scenario, Find a shop that sell Infiniti and Jl Audio and compare A & B.

yeah, if your not into getting a full on system....infinity basslink is the best, many people like it a lot and you have trunk space.

You are all wrong.

I recommend two Basslinks.

Check sig for install difficulty, but for <$190ish on eBay now w/LC remote and multiple connection possibilities, ie speaker-level or preamp, you can't go wrong.

Just don't think you'll be turning heads outside the car, but it's pretty close to perfect inside especially with the back seat down.
