never done them on an 00 max, if there the same as the 4th gen ones i should be gravy, done a bunch of them at my part time job pretty straight forward

Help me if I read it correctly, TURN THE PISTON, I know you're talking about the rear capliers but turn? I have never done a brake job before but how do you turn the piston? I'm sure it's a darn b!tch to do with your bare boney fingers, lol
there are notches cut into the piston. Some needle nose pliers will do the job. Also, make sure the notches line up perdendicular or else the rear brake pads won't engage correctly. You'll need a FSM for details, I don't have one on me at work
i used arc joint pliers to turn them, thats probilbly the best, with a clamp, a buddy really helps in doing this cause the capiler is still attached by the line so its kind of a ***** to do but real simple once you realize how to.
yeah i yanked it off and saw the notches, after not reading this thread, i thought max's didnt have the screw in calipers, guesss they do
ill do it at school monday i can use the ford tool for it and do the rotor to boot, on a lift, good times
