Keyhole illumination

Well, my ignition keyhole light has been down for a couple weeks and it was a bummer. Here is the link for the fix and some pics. Also, I installed a blue LED in place of the blue incandescent bulb. Can't wait for the evening.

The ignition keyhole light stopped working on my Maxima so the pictures that follow show the finished product.
It was determined that the problem lie in the Smart Entrance Control Unit. I didn't even entertain the idea of going to the dealer and seeing how much that would cost. Without asking I knew it would be too much.
When the light was supposed to come on the voltage was supposed to go from 12V to 0V. However, the ground was reading 12 volts instead of 0 volts when lit. So, I decided to ground Pin 30 to Pin 32, the Front Step Lamps. The pink wire you see is the connection I made to enable the keyhole light to come on. Now the keyhole lights up when the doors are opened. The keyhole light essetianlly operates under the same conditions as the Step Lamps, comes on when any door is opened.

Blueness

Ok. Here are some pics of the blue LED in the keyhole ignition light instead of the incandescent. There are also more pics on my webpage.

I have a question. My "recycle" button and "Mode" button don't light up in my climate control. Is this a bulb issue or an LED issue?

Bulb. I don't believe there are factory LEDs in your digital climate control unless you changed that.
