I have tried this before. but i was told to do it in 3rd gear not 4th. I did. from 80MPH till rev limiter (approx 97-98MPH) it takes me almost 8 sec...is that normal...or do i need to replace my MAF sensor because i have the surging lurching problem (95,000 miles) the car feels kinda slow at speed and i got beat by a silverado today. it sucked. well i think replacing the maf will help, just dont want to do it if im not sure if its broke yet. Exactly how did you get beat by a silverado? Sounds like it might have been a gear selection issue.

 

I had the silverado until about 50 or 60 than it was lowest possible gear for the speed....pedal to the medal he just passed me slowly...i couldnt acce any faster...i went from 1st to 2nd at like 39, 2nd to 3rd at like 65 and after that he overtook me.
