Try Cattman Y-pipe and Cattman Catback Exhaust...I have the Catback Exhaust and I love the sound no rice at all...I have heard people talk about the two and everyone seems to be pretty happy with those....

I second to that! Buying the FC's catback will save you some money for other mods.

I would recommend Cattman. If you have an unlimited budget, you could go with Stillen since you mentioned the "best they make".

Yeah, like everyone else has said.... Cattman seems to be the best choice these days... in terms of fitment, performance, and customer service... I really like the Frankencar cat-back too.... and yeah, Stillen is good too I guess, just doesn't seem to be that popular (maybe cuz its expensive? I dunno for sure)... I really like the Stillen axle back, although, too bad it costs like $400 for an axle back...

I am very pleased with my HKS Sport rear section. You can't go wrong with HKS qualitywise. It sounds very low but powerful at WOT, but you can barely hear it while cruising. It is coupled with both a Warpspeed Y and B-pipe and GAB intake.

as i said I want to have a low rumble...not a rice drone sound like most fart cans have around here. How bad is my exhaust going to smell without the other catalytic converter in it?

I guess i'd want my exhaust to kinda give a ferrari like noise or somethin i dunno...that high sounding rev.

Sorry to hear that man.... you're one of the first I've heard with fitment issues from a Cattman....

Just curious, did you trim any of the bolts around front, near the exhaust manifold (sorry, I'd be more specific, but I have yet to install mine cuz the hardware on my cat is rusted tight)... I think that's something that is supposed to be done but never talked about....

no, I didn't see any issues. When it was installed, it is not a direct fit. it pushes on the crossmember, and made a horific noise/rattle. to solve that, many people took it off. but it does compromise integrity of the car. so i had to use a one inch spacer on all 8 bolts to gibe the catbat enough room to move. then we had a issue with the rear brace. once again, had to use spacers. then, that offset the muffler tip, so it was hitting the body kit. had to put spacers on the hangers. now, i guess the y-pip itself is rattling. ticks me off.

Thanks for the detailed info. I'll see what happens when I do mine in 2 weeks. In a way, its a nice change for someone to not like Cattman for once... haha... not that I have against anything against em, it just seems like these days their products can do no wrong. It just breaks the monotony that's all. I still think they make great products. All the best with everything....

WAIT FOR THE NEW MOSSY EXHAUST. Full catback from a pretty reputable company. Check out what they have done for www.nissanperformancemag.com

Don't decide now when a brand new catback is around the corner.

Cattman products rock

Fittment issues with Cattman?? My opinion is nothing is going to fit as perfect as stock. But the Cattman Y-Pipe & Catback is the best fitment you can buy... prefabbed any way. I have helped some friends of mine install the Warpspeed Y-Pipe & Greddy Catbacks & Wow! Want to talk about fitment issues. Anyway I have a full cattman exhaust and the only issue I had was on the left most exhaust hanger I had to crimp it down to give me a perfect tailpipe postion. I did use napa OEM replacement exhaust hangers , they were a little beefiier.

I had a slight fitment problem with the Cattman Y-pipe but my shop rectified it in short order. I 've no rattle problems and my mid-range acceleration is MUCH better. With just the Y-pipe, it pretty much sounds stock except under WOT; where it's only slightly noticeable with the radio off.

Yeah, I'm planning to get it done December 18, 2004 ... its marked on my calendar I already got Meineke to torch my rusted nuts on the cat and replace em with new nuts... and yeah, ya have to get a Dremel or some other rotary tool to trim one of the bolts up front... KCMC, do ya have an electronic copy of the instructions? I just wanna be sure. Also, I've already looked under the car (and was also told this by Fezzik, who sold me the pipe) and ya need to extend the wires for one of the 02 sensors, unless yours already has enough slack... I'll let ya know how the install goes...

Okay thanks...

I'll be doing it myself... so I can't really say how much it'll cost me...

I guess so far $30 to get the nuts torched and replaced... ?
