No, just rust. Research has led me to the opinion that cryo's are a gimmick. Get some quality nickle-plated rotors and paint the hats. That's my plan for Spring.

What!? That makes no sense what-so-ever. You have a 2002 Maxima... now is the perfect time, and the 5.5 gen is the perfect car to mod for power and handling.

"Everybody"? Dude, stay out of the 6th gen forum

After a 6 hour road trip to Niagara Falls this week...

1. Megan OE-RS cat back. That highway drone will leave my car in the next two weeks, to be replaced by a stock style exhaust.

2. H&R and Illiumina. Handles great, rides worse than my work F-350. Undecided whether to go up (Tein SS) or down (stock type shocks & H&R).

7.0l/100km overall, though....33.6 mpg for the Americans.

Not really a mod, but something stupid I definitely regret, Shifting so damn hard with the sts mod and breaking my 6mt clutch cable bracket..... at least it's a cheap fix... and Zip tie made me home even though my top gears felt like jello.......
eh...

As for actual mods, I regret not ordering the stillen classic lip earlier.

Leaving the pos filter on my car that it came with.

And not going with tein s-techs to begin with.. But I've had some close calls with pot holes n bottoming out.. So hopefully it was for the best.

I second that. I F*ed up my fog lights when I installed my yellow Lexus caps. Now my fogs fill up with water and continuously short out the bulbs.

Installing another non-LSD transmission. Also installing the Tokico HPs instead of the Illuminas.

Eibachs and Illuminas, great handles but ridiculously hard ride for a family car, starting to get tired of it. The struts just have too much compression damping for a firm spring when set stiff enough to damping the rebound.

Agreed. After riding in a car with Tein SS', those will be my next suspension mod.

+1

Replacing Illuminas with HP's is not a good move either. I would simply steer clear of Eibach's unless you want a jarring ride.

This damn Apexi WS2, power is fine it opened up the top end quite a pit but i dunno if this is a problem with the I30s but no matter what i do it rattles, shakes, and bangs against frame and chassis. everything else i have done i havent had a problem with.

no its not a problem... if its the universal tip, i had one on my 4th gen... no matter what you do, no matter how big the resonator, o how much resonator, once you hit it, its this huge rattle can, which i found strange that it doesnt happen on the honda's (friend had the catback on his v6 00 accord... still the best sounding WOT car i've ever heard)

You regret it because install was such a hassle? what headers did you do? I just did obx and it was a huge PITA for sure, but worth it in the end.
