those of you who lowered your car???

Question for all of you guys with springs. I would like to get some, however I commute and I dont want to add any treadwear to my tires. I heard once you get springs and struts and start lowering your ride you can never get a true alignment and will normally wear out tires quicker as a result. I drive approximately 30k/year. Any comments?

I heard the same thing before I put mine on. One friend told me he only got 10k out of each set of tires. He obviously had some other issues going on! I was told by a few different people that you run into tread wear and camber issues when you get into the sport line springs. The ones that slam your car to the ground. I have the pro kit and don't seem to have any addition tire wear.

Then a year later, they started 'sagging', meaning, slowly, slowly, over time, they started to drop more, prolly as metal fatigue -or more likely, the metal's 'memory' began to change/fade.
I switched to H&Rs, no sag to date, six months now....

meaning after you lower it, it is at for exampl 1.5" or whatever....after they "settle" it will be a little lower.
As to the original, i guess it depends on the springs....i used tein H and they never really got lower, this is like 5 months running. Also i think the whole thing with tires being used faster is just something that most people say....you have better handling so your gonna drive harder, taking turns faster, etc......lowering the tread on your tires....
