Berk Intake Tomorrow!

Well, I will be getting my intake in the mail tomorrow. I just have a question about it though. I see some pictures with people putting in the intake but leaving the ram air scope connected to the car. Can you take it off, or does it have to stay. I noticed a sensor or something connected to the ram air part of the stock intake, does that stay? Thanks.

You can take it out and just ziptie the sensor somewhere in the vicinity of the new filter. I will see if I can dig up a pic for ya, just a sec.

OK, here ya go, if you look just below and to the left of the filter, you can see where I tied the sensor. The scoop comes out really easily and the engine is considerably more open without the scoop.

And then a year later you go WOT and think to yourself that the noise is annoying and end up putting the stocker back in...

PM Cobymoby. I got mine in less than a week. I was really excited about it so that week took a long time especially because i don't get mail on weekends at school and i knew it was sitting at the central receiving plant waiting for me. i dont mind the growl but i've only had it for 2 months.

It took me about a week to get my intake, and so far I am very happy with it. thanks to everyone at Berk Tech. they did an excellent job. After intsalling the intake, my max feels like, and sounds like a totally different car.

I've had mine on for several months, and never will I go back to stock. The best part about it is what it sounds like at WOT, so I don't see it being a problem.
