Help with yearly service maintenance?

Just wondering what the yearly service maintenance would be on a max.
So far I know...

3 months/3k miles oil change and air filter
6 months wiper blades

Haha that's all I know!

Anyways, I went to get an oil change and the guy said that I needed a automatic transmission flush. Probably would cost about $100. Should I do this?

Also, he said I should change my brake pads and get a coolant flush (for heater and AC) every 6 months.
Get a tire rotation and wheel balance(whatever that is) every 3 months.
Change the spark plugs every year.
Change my serpentine belt every year.
There was also changing PCV valve, fuel filters, timing belts, fuel system cleaner, antifreeze...

What else do you guys do on your max every year?
My car has about 62,000 miles on it.
Just want to know what is recommended by you guys so I dont have to do all of that above.
Thanks a lot!

Did you get a service manual when you got the car? Check that out.

oil change every 3500
spark plugs.. every 100k
tranny flush every 30k
pads .. depends... have to check
coolant flush not really necessary
tire rotation every 9k

keep that up and your car will be in good condition

maintainance

Every two years or 30K, change coolant, replace trans fluid if automatic. Other than that rotate tires every 6-8k miles and change oil every 3k. Change air filter every 2 years.
that's about it - except for repairs.

Only if the fluid is low or horrifically dirty.

The guy who told you that is an idiot. Our cars don't have timing belts, we have timing chains. Changing the spark plugs every year is just a waste and pointless as well as the antifreeze. Any way to nickle and dime someone they will.

I would change the brake fluid every 2-3 years. It is inexpensive and it prevents calipers from rusting and seizing.

+1 to what everyone said. But IMO I think you should make your schedule based on how you drive your car. I personally change my oil every 5k miles, change my coolant every two yrs, rotate my tires every 2nd oil change, (check my brake pads when I do the rotation). Cabin filter every 10k miles, spark plugs at 100k miles (50,850) so far. Change transmission fluid every 30k miles, wiper blades every winter. I've never changed my brake fluid but will definitely start since on my former Max the rear brake calipers did sieze up on me after 130k miles. Also you can do most of the work yourself with the right tools. Just make yourself a maintenance book on your computer with dates, miles, what was done and don't forget to keep your receipts, this will be extremely helpful if you ever decide to sell your car.

every:6000-7000km(3-4 month)
techron fuel injector cleaner before oil change
oil change (currently castrol syntec will use PP later)with 9E000 oil filter
power steering fulid (turkey baster) with mobil 1 ATF

every:12000-14000km (half yr)
ATF drain and fill with mobil 1 ATF
Tire rotate

every year(never care about the km):
coolant drain and fill with Nissan coolant
break fluid with Castrol LMA<-- not sure
clean intake
de-carbon
wash my KN filter
clean MAF with maf cleaner

umm could not think of more at the moment...
coil and plug changed at 60000km due to random misfiring...with updated coil and NGK Iradium
ya just changed my both belts...(first time in 7 yrs, only 78000km on the clock)
changed break half years ago:
front Pad: Hawk HPS
Rotor: RTP slotted form GD
rear Pad: Monor
Rotor: still the original one, only resurfaced when pad change...
daz it...

maybe u guys think its over kill, but not to me since i enjoy working on my cars, and i rather save all the labor money so i can do it more often...

Mileage isn't the problem, it's the amount of water that gets in the fluid. Every 3 years seems reasonable. Calipers cost more than brake fluid

Maybe I should begin this practice.

I never noticed this until recently, but my 95 gives a much better look at the maintenance schedule. Essentially a spreadsheet w/miles and service to be done.

These days, they do not include this with the standard owners manual
