Hey all. I'm just wondering if most people use red and amber bulbs or white bulbs in the clear side-markers. My guess is most go with white, but some might still have the colored ones???

And for the white ones, they're Polareq (SP?) something, right? Where's the best place to buy 'em and which kind do I want? Also, which bulbs should I replace the parking lights with, and where can I get a chromed out bulb to put in the turn signal (after I clear it)? Sorry, I know it's like 4 questions in one thread, but most people that have done one of these have done the others. Thanks for the help.

 

i have colored bulbs. i run the amber ones in the front that came with the side markers. i bought red ones for the back but they looked pink so i sprayed the bulb a few times with spray paint and now they are perfect.
white bulbs is stupid in my opinion..looks bad and draws way to much attention. when i see someone with them i can spot them a mile away...im sure the cops can too

The red doesn't turn or look pink, same with the amber. They have been on my Max for over six months now. For my front park lights, I use the PIAA Super Plasma.

Yo man my summer set up for the sidemarkers are the Piaa 194 Xtreme White's. Right now (since its slowly starting to snow in Chicago) i put the Piaa Ion Crystal 194's. Man if i had pictures id show you but the ion's look sooo good. They are like a gold- not amber or yellow. They look awsome at night especially paired up with Xtreme White H4 headlights and H3 Xtreme White fogs/Ion Crystal Fogs. Depends on the color.

I use orange front and red back. Got pulled over for super whites. Not worth it IMO

 

I think I'm going to stick with the amber and red, then. For those of you who have the colored LEDs, which bulbs did you get? (4 led, 5 led, 6 led, 9 led) Thanks.

 

i believe i got 4 bulb type...i bought them from http://www.superbrightleds.com. mine were also polarized.

 

I put in the 9 Led Red in the rears and love 'em. I think the 9s are a different size then the others ones, 921 I think. They fit, but take some effort getting them in. Also if you get them and they dont turn on, turn them around. That is what Gsilk meant by saying his were polarized.
