Gas Mileage

I usually get about 17.5 MPG. Mostly city driving. Is this pretty similar to what you guys are getting on your 00?

If I drive mostly city it will be between 17 and 20 usually. When I drive 50/50 city and highway it's around 23 mpg if I remember correctly

I got 26m.p.g. out of my first tank on my 2000 SE with manual tranny, and that was with temps in the mid-30's. Should be better in the summer....

Most of my driving is country highways (55mph) so my mileage should be pretty good.

Yup, I get anywhere between 16.5 and 18.5 in the city and on my last highway trip I got a little over 30 mpg.

2000 Max SE

I get about 12mpg in the city (im manual), and if I am on the highway I get about 25mpg on average - but I also gas it a bit to get around the slow asses that go 40mph in the travel lanes.

22 straight beating it.........24 normal average, 27+ highway 5spd, open exhaust, short-ram intake. ****ty MPG could be many things. Old spark plugs, carbonization, tb needs cleaning, cat is blocked. If I got less than 20 with the max I'd be looking for a reason......

same here....except my usual tanks consist of ALL city and bout 15% of it is all highway (70-75 cruising)....and it comes out to be 18mpg.....

I know my car is healthy becuz this one time....i filled up my tank all the way.... I drove 160 miles ALL highway at 75-80mph the whole day....and my DTE read 275miles left......and my fuel needle was still very high.....i'd say a tad under 3/4th mark......so I know my car is healthy even tho my city mileage is crap....

If i drove all city on a hot summer day i will get 16mpg....

P.S. i do a few WOT runs here and there.....i don't drive like a granny.....but at the same time I don't drive like I stole it

I used seafoam a few weeks ago thinking (hoping and praying is more like it) that it would help but it did nothing really. I gotta figure how to get better MPG. I used to haul *** everywhere but I am a much more calm driver these days, yet the mileage hasnt improved.
I've had my SES light on for pretty much forever. I know the code, its a P0420, but i havent had the time to take care of it. Will an update to the ECU help?
Any ideas?

I get about the same. About 18 freeway. Something is wrong but I'm not sure what. Probably a bad ECU. Replaced almost everything else.
