Berk Intake Fitment Concern

I just installed my Berk Intake the other day, but it seems like the filter was hard to put on beacause it sits so close to the metal of the car(strut tower). Is this normal, or should I have more room. I will try to post a picture tomorrow. BTW, i have the K&N filter with the intake.

heres 2 pics from berks site. mine was a little close to that area too, but after a little bit of bending of that bracket, it sits pretty nice now. i had to bent that metal bracket a few degrees using a vice. something that i didnt think of doing is rotating the MAF around so the bolts may line up with the bracket better...they dont necessarily have to sit square. mine is sitting like a diamond.
