How many RPMs should i get to before i launch?

Most of the replies I've seen (and what I do) is 1,200 rpm while on the brake. A couple others said 1,500 - experiment!

Just put it in neutral, rev to 6k and slam it into 1st.

you need to make sure you're redlining... to enable the brk-tq converter which will spark out an extra 100 hp for the autos... make sure you put spares on the front and cheap rims in the back...
