Has anyone attempted to replace the Bose headunit with an aftermarket deck? I plan on keeping the existing speakers, but only replace the headunit with a Kenwood Excelon z919. What type of adapters are required, and has anyone done this? Thanks!

There *is* a kit (Scoche I think) coming out next month for the 5th gen Max. Feel lucky. The one for the 2k i30 is still a YEAR away! SO I'm spending hundreds on custom dash pieces that look hideous.

Get the GXE A/C ventilator assembly... gxes come with a normal DIN stereo so it'll let you keep the stock look.

hmm...

I'm looking for either a double din unit, or a cd player with a separate EQ to fill in the hole. I feel the GXE kit looks a little cheesy..*IMO*

If the GXE looks cheesy.... damn.. don't even go for crutchfield... the GXE can handle double din too.. have you seen pioneer's stereo? He's kicking it with double din.
