Anyone know how to use the Memory Seats Function?

Ever since I got my car about 6 weeks ago I have not been able to figure out how to work the memory seats. It just blinks and does nothing... Does anyone know how to use them? Thanks...

I wish I had the car's manual. My car simply didn't come with the manual. I literally got the car and a key. As a result I have been on the forums seeking help with things ranging from servicing them, tires, etc. I will probably go out and buy a manual but I am willing to try what other enthusiasts tell me. I think there is nothing better than a forum full of knowledgable people who give advice thats probably better than the manual anyways.

Turn on the worthless switch on the dash. Then download the owner's manual from NissanUSA.com. Then read up on how to program and use it. Enjoy.

Thanks Rey... I got it working. The little worthless button isn't THAT worthless... It must be on in order to use the memory seat function according to the manual. Anyways, for anyone else who wants to know how to use their memory seats:

1. Apply parking brake
2. Turn the ingnition ON
3. Adjust seats and steering column to desired position
4. Push set and within 5 seconds push the memory switch 1 or 2 fully for at least 1 second
5. The indicator light for the pushed memory switch will come on and stay on for approximately 5 seconds.
6. After the indicator light goes off, the selected positions are stored in the selected memory.
7. The car must be on in order to access the memory. The brake does not have to be on in order to use the memory seats just when programming them.

the brake has to be on if you have the 6 speed, this is a fact
also who cares about adjusting the steering wheel?? its not like its part of the memory feature( would have been nice though)

The steering column doesn't matter since on the 5th gen the steering column adjustment is manual. On the 6th gen you can get a power steering column adjuster which is linked to the seat memory. (Of course even on a 5th gen the position of the steering column might affect how you want the seat positioned - all I am saying is that the steering column position is not restored by the seat memory.)

I think there is a typo here; at any rate, it's exactly backward. You can SET the memory at any time when the ignition is on - including while driving at any speed. To RECALL the seat position the car has to be at rest and the handbrake applied. In fact (at least on the m/t models) the handbrake has to have been applied when the car was at rest or moving less than 4 mph. If you applied the handbrake while the car was moving faster than that, the memory restore is locked out. (You can just release the handbrake and then reapply it with the car at rest to reset this condition.)
