MAF I think...
I got this off a slcsr.com and was wondering what you guys think...sound like MAF is going out but.....I am usually always wrong this is what he wrote...
ok my roommate has a 2000 maxima 5sp, his car is throwing code 171 which i know is 1st bank running lean but does anyone know what the most likley culprit is? i thought is was the mass air so i cleaned it with brake cleaner and that didn't help (i was told it was a common problem with the max.) so what happens is it idles normally and runs great until wide open throttle and about4k-5k then pulls hard after that but right there between those rpm's it almost feels like a fuel cut. only mods are a cold air and a cat back thanks

Dude i really seriously hope you DID NOT spray Brake Cleaner Into the Mass Air Flow Sensor, im almost positive your going to need a new MAF now.....for electric parts theres this stuff called ELECTRIC PARTS CLEANER , never use carb cleaner, brake cleaner or whatever on elec. parts
