help! is my shaking 2000 maxima dying?
hi, i got my 2000 maxima 4 months ago from the 1st owner, who kindly replaced all six ignition coils for me and since then it ran well till 3 days ago. when i was backing the car in the morning the car shaked a lot! but when i shift the gear to move forward, the shaking disappeared--then when i backed it again, it did not shake at all. but the following morning when i backed it, it shaked still and it has been 3 days in a roll
any person has similar problems? can my max live with me for another couple of years?

i got it with 74k and i have only put 700 miles on that so far--only in the past 3 days it shaked when i backed the car but when i move forward it stopped and even i backed the car again, this did not happen
believe it or not, but MAF can cause that also. let the car roll on idle. press down the accel a tad bit, like 1000 rpm. see if it does the same thing. if it does, most likely it's the maf
does it shake when the car completely warmed up? I have same problem...it goes away when engine and tranny both warmed up.... ur problem is a lot like mine..mine started the way yours right now. It got worse.. now it shakes even in D with cold engine and tranny. I can rev up to 5k still..so i doubt it's either MAF or coils...
it only occurs the several secs when i backed it and it never occur again when it is in D~~yes, i did not warm it for the past 2 days and it shaked and today i warmed it for 10 sec and backed it--shaked again~~
