Any One Have A Problem With Brakes??

I have a 01 Maxima, and the brakes are feeling like they go to close to the floor and like it doesn't stop on key like it should. The car stops but I'm not sure if the brake pedal should go so low before it actually stops the car..

I wanted to know if any one else has experince this problem, could it be that my rotor or pads are no good? Or maybe my master cylinder is no good and needs to be replaced?

I have driven may different cars but I'm not sure about this car if anyone can help me in my situation I appreciate it

Thanks Happy New Year!!!!!

they dont??? i fig it would go bad at some point i no its only a 01 but i has close to 90k on it. I had a lhs and the MC went on about 150k so I wasn't sure wat the problem wit the max is. I didn't no if the pedal was supposed to go low before it actually stop cuz it seems to be close to the floor when it stop fully.

Before you do any of that consider how many miles are on the pads and rotors. Check to see how much life is on them and on the rotors and consider getting them replaced/turned. If you don't hear any squeeling then it might not be the pads. If your rotors are really glossy it might be them.

no the pads are acutally pretty new and the rotors i think are okay im not too sure I haven't check those yet but I will prob tomorrow, too much snow and too cold for that rite now. But no noise like i said drives great but just the brake pedal seems to go too low for any car i've ever driven. You how u get in a car and at first you drive a car and press on the brake it stop instantly. well i press on the brake and nothin, press harder slows down you press it almost to the floor and it stops. again it stops no problem just the pedal seems to be low.

Seems more like a fluid problem. Make sure you don't have a leak.

nah no leaks, I check the fluid every day, hasn't moved from the line and the funny thing is that the fluid looks clean! and I'm just confused I'm goin to take the wheels off this weeked and check the rotors and pads.
Thanks again & Happy New Year!

Can't be the pads or the rotors (anyone who says differntly doesn't know how the system works). The brakes are self-adjusting, so check the fluid level. If good, then you need to bleed the breaks. Gotta do mine this spring as well.

Like i said I'm confused, I didn't know what do anymore. I no my pads and rotors are good I just saw them like a month ago when I rotated my tires. so I was just goin to check the MC and then if nothing worked bleed them out and re fluid them to c wat happens

thanks

I have a 2000 maxima with 62k miles. I've recently had the brake pedal go ALL the way down to the floor with no brakes at all and found out to be the MC. I've replaced it and added new and better brake fluid. Now it seems to be find, but the pedal still goes down a lil more than it should. Most likely there is still air in the line since i was in a rush to replace the MC and bleed the air out TOO quickly.
So, I would:
1. bleed the lines.
2. If 1. does not work, replace your MC.
