Dat Seafom chit is good stuff...
So, yesterday late afternoon, after three hours of rest and ice paks & all that (wisdom teeth pulled), my son (who is spending the week with us, visiting from LA) and I spent a coupla hours working on his immaculate 1991 Prelude Si -the 2.1 liter model, still running perfectly after 203k miles.
We replaced the air filter, removed & cleaned the TB, did not one but two cans of Seafom thru one of the vacuum lines , replaced the plugs with NGK Platinums and changed the oil after running the Seafom thru the car and lemme tell ya, that stuff is awesome: before the Seafom, the car was just slighly pinging going up hills at low-to-medium RPMs in 4th and 5th, after the Seafom, no pinging whatosever.
Yes, it could be that the new plugs (which are platinum) are running a wee bit cooler than the prior plugs but...it also wery well could be that the Seafom actually did decarbonize the pistons, etc., to the point that it eliminated hot spots that would contribute to pinging.
After we ran the second can thru it, it took no less than eight miles of hard driving to get the car to stop smoking from all the crap the Seafom was dissolving and purging.....I'm sold!

I got some BG44K stuff yesterday and it came with the intake cleaner which is also said to clean up the rest of the engine. Gonna try doing the BG intake cleaner on Monday before I do my oil change Good job on that 'lude, happy New Year.

I tried the seafoam. It smoked the ell out of the neighborhood. Not sure whether the smoke was the result of burning crud loosened by the seafoam or whether the smoke was the seafoam burning. Regardless, it pissed-off the neighbors and that was worth the $5 for the stuff. ROCK ON SEAFOAM!!

Ahh.....me no trying no Seafoam on Max yet. I cleaned the TB a few months ago when I was playing with the intake manifold restrictor that's on the '00s and '01 and it was so clean (remember, only 28k miles on my car) that I cant see how the Seafoam would do any good yet....I'll prolly gonna wait until it gets closer to 35-40k miles...

becaeful using 2 cans. you are only suppose to use half of a can. 2 can can mess some **** up like some of the 4 gen people experianced. i have been using seafoam for 3 years and i always get good result sout of both of my maxinma's.

I'll probably do the Seafoam thing in the early spring. I'll have a bit under 35,000 miles by then. And it will coincide with my next oil change.
