It doesn't require rocket science, just time/patience. Depends on your take on what a mechanic is.

It's just a matter of getting them from the bottom. You shouldn't have to remove the IM. Access to a lift is greatly appreciated.
Pretty simple, Crossmember, 2 engine mounts. 2k2/3 do not have EGR port, so it must be plugged, loosen/remove AC compressor, relocation of the 2 O2 sensors (no the ones in the old manifolds, but rahter the 2 that are on the stock y-pipe.) to the B-pipe.

Cattman brad new are ~$825 new and they come with a y-pipe/headers combo but cannot be used in conjunction with any other brand y-pipe, at least not to my knowledge.

Brian at cattman had mentioned that it would be a good idea to wrap your motor mount with some sort of reflective wrap as the header sits quite close to one of the mounts.

One of the pipes is also real close to the oil pan and a rubber hose in that area, might be a good idea to check on that small hose from time to time, and perhaps wrap it also.

the hardest part for me was getting the heatshield off on the rear manifold and the rear engine mount bracket. Be sure to get some woble adapters. Ratchet wrenches are also a big plus, it'll save you alot of time and they get to hard to reach spots.

With two people it took about 10 hours to install both cattman headers and exhaust.

good luck!
