Am I cursed or what?

Am I cursed or what?
Since I rolled 60500 miles I have changed (under extended warranty):
- rear O2 sensor
- Alternator
- Main pulley, main belt, power steering belt
- Crank seal (spotted by the tech during the pulley replacement, thanks Metro Nissan in LaSalle, Canada)
Now, 15000 miles later, SES.
I don't think that it's a gas cap. I know the problem and I always tighten it. I have stopped and started the car 4 times since the SES showed up. Is there any truth to the "if the car is restarted 5 times and the SES code is not tripped the SES is cleared" rumour?
I am thinking that maybe, perhaps, just maybe, when the main belt blew (about 2000 miles ago) that something may have been damaged. I drove the car for 20 miles, thinking that it was just an alternator thing, to the dealer.
If it's another O2 sensor, especially if it's the rear O2 sensor, then it may be a head gasket that is going. The car is running fine, it's not in limp mode.
The water pump, failure of which usually causes head-gasket-kaboominification, is driven off the (WOOOOHOOOO) timing chain. So that should not be a problem, right?
Any other ideas what may be going on? Should I be thinking the unthinkable, getting rid of Maxine?
