Can everyone that that has had there car in for TSB work do me a favor? can you post what TSB you had your car in for and how much you had to pay. I want to send the results to Nissan NA and the dealer that would not do the work (For all of you in the Chicagoland area dont go to Fergus Nissan). For those of you that havent read my other posts here is a rundown. Talked to someone from Nissan NA twice, both times told me TSB work is not covered under warranty. As for the stupid dealer, they would not do the work under warranty and they wanted me to pay $150 to cut the rotors. I have 34,000 miles on my car so I dont have much time left.

I have had the shift solenoids for my auto tranny replaced just as the TSB stated. The dealer replaced the solenoids at no charge to me and provided me with a rental car for the three days I did not have my Maxima. I paid nothing for this service.

 

Warranty work:

Front tires cross rotated due to pulling
Bankston Nissan, Lewisville, TX

Front Rotors turned due to warping
Trunk/Bumper realigned
Transmission, Solenoid and TCM replaced
ECU reprogrammed for cold idle drop
Melody's Nissan, Bellevue, WA

 

BTW, my work was done at Rosenthal Nissan in Gaithersburg, MD. Good luck!

 

Just go to another dealer. If your car is under warranty, they'll do it at no charge. I dont know who these morons are who are charging.

I've had the original TCU replaced as a result of TSB at no charge; in fact I've never paid my dealer for anything except one hour of labor one time for a non-warranty item. I didn't even pay for my 15k or 30k maintenance.

I did...

stock TCM was replaced with version 101 (I now have 160 or was it 106?).

 

I know that Paul2kGXE had the same tranny work done at the same dealer as mine.
