Carbon Fiber Eyelids for 5.5 Lights

I dont know how many people want CF eyelids for their 5.5 gen headlights, but we do have a company that is willing to make them for us if we get enough people that are SERIOUS about getting these. Post and start a list if you really want to get this started. Here is a link to GD for the 4th gen. 4th Gen CF Eyelids

The company that would be making them would be Ionic Dynamics.
Here is their website: http://www.ionicdynamics.com/Eyelidnew.html
The only thing they would need is a set of 5.5 gen headlights to start their mold. I dont know about you guys but I want a set of these and the price would be really great and so would the quality.

LCT already made them. I had them on my Max. There wasn't as much of a demand as you might think. Everyone wants something good , and doesn't want to pay for it....cheap Max owners, as always. I have seen some of the work Ionic does , with CF, and I wouldn't recommend it.

his eyelids are sitting in my den now, haha

but hes right, people want the product, but when they see CF eyelids for $90, they freak out, and then go buy crappy ones off of ebay. i instantly forked over a hefty sum for his CF eyelids, and i would have handed the same over to LCT for their eyelids, if it was still an option.

good luck setting up this deal, but you might have to meet the challenge of making an excellent CF product that will be sold at a low price.

that's true one project at a time would be a wise move. although i'm guilty of not jumping on LCT's eyelids, and have been longing for these to come back out, so I hope this works!! the only concern i have on this deal is that it's Ionics's deal. i have no experience with their products, but one thing i found disturbing is their lack of communication. many here have had issues contacting them, and i also posted at least 4 times in the 4th cf eyelid gd about getting them made for the 5.5 gen, but have received 0 responses to it if i can recall. a few 5.5 geners have posted about it there too, and received the same results. so all i can say is this........have them make it and then i'll believe it!!!

Ionic does their work out of Tijuana Mexico. That might be the communications problem...

LCT turning was selling them for $115..... It took me awhile to finally get them, but I did get one of their last sets. Very pleased I must say.

I did get an answer back from Ionic and he said that they would be willing to do them if there was a demand for them and if he had a headlight to base the mold off of.

i wonder if we can get a group deal together and just have LCT do another batch since they probably already have a mold for it.... better then having Ionics start from scratch....
