brake pad question
brake pad question
the service advisor at the dealer told me that my rear brake pads need to be replaced soon...they told me the front brakes look fine. maybe i am not understanding what "electronic brake force distribution" means--i thought it sensed where the majority of the weight in the car is and applies the brakes accordingly. if this is correct, then why would only my rear pads need to be replaced? i rarely have passengers in the car, never have anything in the trunk and i usually do my driving from the front seat

if ur brakes pad go bad would it make like a scraping sound? mine sounds like something is stuck under my car. Kinda sounds like the ebrake is partly pulled. It is worse when its colder out. Is it the pads or could the rotors be warped?

is the ebrake connected to the back brakes? sorry if this is a lame question but i dont know $*!* about cars
the emergency brake is the rear brakes. have you been pulling it up on occasion for a little fun? my rear brake pads were gone @ about 53k. ive seen alot of people on here replace the rear before the front but my front went out @ about 30k.

OEM Pads and they seem to need replacing within the next 2000 miles (well the rear)
I hate nissan brake calipers.

At 19K and already making noise? Sounds like an issue with the caliper. Were I you (since you are still under bumper to bumper) I'd have the mechanic look at the calipers to make sure they aren't going bad. If they are, you can get the pads and calipers changed out on Nissan's dime.

WEll from experience, stock brake rotors suck, i bought my car with 20,000 miles already hving brake problems.. I noticed that the braking wasn't good enough, and my rears wore down faster than front. so i got aftermarket rotors brake pads and brake lines. Much much better than stock ...
