ACtually it's not a copy. I asked Matt about it. And I think it's a good idea. But not really for that price. And unless you really track the hell out of the car, those calipers are fine. The upgrade to the 12.6" rotors is really what's going to make the brakes feel alot better. For the street, you usually want GOOD braking for one/two/few aggressive stops. So fade resistance is less important than that one good emergency stop that keeps you from ramming into the car in front of ya.
If you can find these parts in a boneyard, that would be the best way. That is if you don't need any extra special brackets etc..

790 bux, wow... I spend 150 on IRotors cross drilled n slotted plated rotors, 180 on the Blehmco kit with the SS brake lines for the front, and 200 for TTZ aluminum calipers off Ebay. 50 bux for Hawk HPS. My brakes stop better, and look bling bling. Problem is most cheap wheels don't clear the big calipers, so no ADR, Konig, Velox etc are going to fit.

No relocation bracket is required. All you must have is the 04 calipers and rotors. Thicker, larger rotors and much more brake pad surface. Granted the price is steep, but get some rebuilt calipers and some aftermarket rotors and the price will surely become reasonable.
17 inch wheels become mandatory as well.
These will also bolt directly to a 95-99 if the 2 caliper mounting holes in the torque member are enlarged from 12mm to 14mm. Looks like plenty of material there, so I went for it. No problems that I can see.

oldngivout...let me clarify here.
I know the 2004 rotors fit fine (I use them with the belhmco kit and the 5th gen calipers with relocation bracket).
But are you saying that the 2004 calipers will fit DIRECTLY into the OEM mounting holes on the 5th gen? And they will sit correctly in relation to the rotor?
Also, are you saying that this setup will fit under the 17" SE rims on a 5th gen?
can you post some pics?

Sorry, I have no pics, only experience.
The 04 calipers will fit on the 03 with ZERO mods. The brake pad surface is much greater on the 04 pads, so the caliper is relocated outward away from the axle. This also allows the caliper frame to clear the 04 rotors, which are larger also. All this will clear the 17" 04 Max wheel for sure. I don't see why it will not clear any reasonable 17" wheel, since in the end the caliper is in the same place as your kit.

I'm only asking because:
I have the OEM 5th gen calipers with 6th gen rotors via the blehmco kit, but would definitely like some more pad surface on the rotors. The blehmco kit I have JUST clears the OEM 17's....but the 6th gen calipers sound like a good upgrade...just want to make sure they'll fit under my OEM 17s that I will use in the winter (G35 18s in the summer)

That's awesome. If my 2k4 rotors continue to warp (~3 months on the drilled/slotted IRotors w/ Bendix Titanium pads so far, no warpage yet...), I may consider this path for my 2000. (using 2k4 calipers & pads so I can keep my OEM 17" wheels)

Did it on a 98. It works for certain on that one. Wheels are not stock, though.
But think about it. It clears on the 04 Max. What is the offset on the stock 04 Max 17" wheel, 40mm I think?

I just found some caliper assemblies (6th gen) at a junkyard for $35 each....so when I get 'em, I'll try em (that is, when the weather warms up). Also will do SS lines at the same time. So wait 4-5 weeks and I'll have an answer

Altima SER calipers are even more rare. You might either have to pay full price at the Nissan dealer (ouch) or wait a couple of years for them to show up on eBay.
Who's the guy that works for Courtesy Nissan? Wonder if he can do anything, or maybe some kind of GB? I would only want the calipers anyway for the cool SE-R logo, and go with some aftermarket CD/Slotted rotors.

Yeah im having trouble finding aftermarket rotors for my 6th gen. As far as I know, nobody makes em. Someone told me the Irotors were just some crap brand with their name on em. Either way I dont see the 04 rotors listed on there site anyways.
#36
I really don't want any slotted or cross drilled rotors. Just a good beefy rotor that wasn't made in China. Now if the Alti SER rotor is the same size as the 04 Max, I'm sure we will see some decent rotors fairly soon. After all, it's more of a tuner car than the new max.

I saw those, but it makes me real suspicious that Brembo doesn't list them on their site. Has anyone tried them yet?
