rear window spoiler...

just bought the Paradox Rear Window Spoiler. After reading people's reviews i thought the double side tape would hold up thru at least ten washes. well, during my second wash the spoiler came off. i guess i am going to buy some more 3m double sided tape, unless there is another brand tape that would be stronger??? anyother ideas if you had this same problem???

There are many different kinds of double sided tape. I had the 3m with the red backing on it. I washed the car endless amounts of times, and it never came off....

The 3M tape with the red backing is strong as shyit. It's called molding tape.

The same thing happened with the OEM tape on my rear window spoiler. But this red stuff has yet to show any sign of letting go. Been on about 9 months or more.

I've used the original tape on my rear window spoiler and it has not come off nor can I move it in the slightest bit. You just have to make sure the surface is clean before applying it, cleaning with alcohol or alcohol based cleaner helps. 3M has an adhesion promoter, if you use it, it will hold even better.

Also it would be good if you used a hair dryer to warm up the tape before you put it on. That is what I did with my window vents

How come nobody likes the full size one? I'll admit it looks best on dark colored cars, though.......

I have some half sized ones arriving in 2-3 weeks. I do not know if I will have enough for a group deal. I'll know when it arrives.

i like it fine, but i just think that it's too much for the back of the max. takes away from the rest of the car. just my opinion

Thanks, Puppetmaster.

PoW, that tape is available many places. Auto stores, Wal-Mart, probably Home Depot, too. Post pics when it's installed!

I put mine on back in the summer and didn't have any problems with it until a small twister came ripping through the valley and left 1/3 in place, another 1/3 in pieces in place, and another 1/3 blew out to sea. 70+mph winds were supposedly hitting the back of my car that day. Thank goodness nothing else broke or hit my car.

Thanks, bro...

The half size is for the rear window also (not for the sunroof) I don't have a pic, but the half size looks too 'turned up' for my taste. I like the way the full size one curves back down a bit.

okay now i know what you mean. yea it does, it looks like straight or poped up a little and the other (full) looks kinda like a bigger one.. similar to the bmw style one. like the ones they make for the 7 series.
