Exhaust Question....

This may be a dumb question, but i'll ask anyway. I currently have just the stillen downpipe and their exhaust, so do I still have a cat? Also, are their any other exhaust mods available besides headers, which i am oh-so close to ordering (B-Day=24th)? Thanks.

You still have a cat, you can check for yourself by looking under the car.

Headers are the only other option, which will require you to eliminate your current y-pipe.

What he said is right... I assume ya mean a Stillen y-pipe and rear section... so you should still have your stock cat and b-pipe. Just take a look under the car and the cat is the thing between your y-pipe and b-pipe....

Its SEC 208 from the diagram below...

So is it a good idea to get a high flow cat? and do they sell different B-pipes?

you can get 3" pipes but not really worth it unless you are boosting

A high-flow cat won't really give ya that much gains... the stock cat isn't all that restrictive... as for b-pipes... if you're looking for 2.5" b-pipes... try Cattman, Budget, and Warpspeed....

Sorry, I don't know how the cat will affect the flow if you're boosting... intuition tells me that if ya need 3" exhaust piping, then you'll need a higher flow cat... try posting this question in the FI/TC/SC forums.... they might be able to help ya better there....

some companies will refer to the b pipe as a midpipe. just make sure you if are having a custom b pipe (mid pipe) that it goes the distance right before it bolts up to your stillen axel over. if you are boosting, id skip the high flow cat and just go for a test pipe. when/if you have emissions then put the stock cat back on.

contact warpspeed, custommaxima, budget or have a local place look at making you one. by law they cannnot remove a working cat but its a very easy replacement. if you are boosting i would suggest the custommaxima just because it is 3 inch if i am not mistaken.
