The directions suck! It says remove the part, but doesn't say how or what order of pieces to remove inorder to get it out. You can figure it out in time, but it would have been nice to know what you have and don't have to remove to get the MAF out. Anyways, once you've done it once it wouldn't be a problem again. It just sucks the FIRST time.

The hardest part to reinstall was the rubber sleeve that goes on the outlet of the MAF and slides FORCEFULLY into the plastic square is a BIT@H. It took quite a bit of force and the best way I could tell to get the rubber sleeve on was by putting it HALF-way on the MAF and then trying to push it into the plastic square. Otherwise, the rubber sleeve starts binding and gets pulled down. I was just worried about an air leak.

Here's a pic of my intake.....Hope it helps alittle.
You still didn't install it?
I know it's hard to fit the MAF back in. Try to adjust it so the top bracket fits perfectly.....

Thank GOD I'm an engineer and can take practically anything apart, it's just the putting it back together part that sucks.

You attach it to the only OVER hanging bracket off the strut tower where you removed a screw holding the air box. You just use a ratchet and drive the ONLY remaining screw through the hole into the upper SI bracket. It's not threaded, so don't be looking for threads. In one of the instruction pics, you can tell how to mount the top bracket to the MAF adapter, once you install the MAF with the lower bracket, there is only one place the upper bracket can reach for a bolt to hold. Damn I wish I had a digital camera!

Please post if you get a WHISTLING sound once you install it. Under light to medium throttle, I get a whistle/tweet sound. I'm not 100% sure this is normal and I'm debating reinstalling it.

Damn that filter NEEDS oiling and a cleaning! I saw some white spots on mine and was debating adding some oil, but that filter is definitely worse than mine.

Yeah .. it's pretty clean now

Ice .. I get that whistling sound as well ... judging from the previous posts in the last couple days ... it appears 2 b very normal ...

Ice ... funny thing ... I still had 4 screws left when I was done ... actually RBA only sent me 2 ... so I went out & bought the ones I needed from Home Depot .. & when I was installing it .. I couldn't figure out where they were required

Yo...Ohboiya!!!

Was it the 4 screws for the adapter? I didn't get it to begin with so I just used the stock bolts & it fit ok 4 me... I never thought that they were suppose to supply that to begin with...
I gave you 2 bolts. One bolt for the bottom bracket & one for the top... That rusted one is for the top bracket.. Connect it to the adapter and that black piece I circled in the picture!!!!!!!!
It shouldn't be that hard to figure out...
You have to adjust the MAF and allign it correctly so the top bracket will fit..
