there is a possibility that you are experiencing problems with it but the 2k/2k1 configuration is completely different. i remember seeing a 2k2 that dyoned and figured out his vias was not activating. the power rod and cup problems of the composite manifold are not present in the 2k2/2k3 manifold.

cool, so it most likely will not be an issue on the 2k2?

Almost impossible to tell, unless a 5.5th owner with a decent number of miles takes apart their intake manifold. The manifolds are *totally* different (5.0th gen is plastic, 5.5th is metal I think?)

your chances of failure internally like the de-k plastic composite manifold would be rare considering you have a metal manifold. However to say that the manifold could not fail ever would be inaccurate also (maybe not activating from the outside due to some other unforeseen circumstance)

considering the problem with the DE-K manifold is a metal component, ironically...

But the rest of the post redeems the former

if by metal you mean that tin foil cup that strips... yes

i was referencing that its the power valve assembly that breaks, hence plastic components.
