any ideas?
any ideas?
My car (2002) is at the dealer right now. Went in for 30,000 mile service (bend over) and SES light was on. Got a call back from the service guy at lunch, he said the diag machine said that the 2 rear o2 sensors are failing and my manufacture warranty is up and my ext. warranty does not cover this either. Are these covered under this federal emissions warranty, or am I outta luck on this.
Any responses are greatly appreciated as I'm not looking forward to $140 each for these things.
Thanks

Car has 3yr./36000 (car has 32,000) mile factory warranty. Car was bought in NOV 01 so that warranty is done. I have "bumper to bumper" (that is a joke) on the ext warranty. The service tech called the ext. warranty people to see if it was covered, they said it is under emissions and that is not covered. I looked it up in the booklet--
My new favorite BS lines are now:
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
A. REPAIRS TO ANY PART OR PARTS OF THE DESCRIBED VEHICLE NOT SPECIFICALLY LISTED IN THE SCHEDULE OF COVERAGES SECTION OF THIS CONTRACT
guess what emissions fits right into that little loop hole.
Like you said I could always call and try to get this settled, just didn't realize that it would get to that point
