Ive went from regular rain x, to piaa blades
I wanted the Rain-x latitudes....but settled for the Valeo Ultimate's, simply because tirerack has them BUY ONE get the other free....they work pretty damn well if i dont say so myself

i couldn't get ahold of the rain x latitudes, i ordered them from their site, but 3 weeks later, they still hadn't SHIPPED Out my order....simply because the driver side was "SO LONG"....26 driver, and 17 passenger

I live in the NorthEast too. Because of the ice and snow I use Winter Anco blades. They are the ones with red tips. The hinges are covered in a black rubber sheathing to keep ice out and I think the blades are wider and heavier duty than the standard all purpose Anco blades I use in the summer as well. All around I think they are a good value and cheap to replace. My father has RainX hingeless blades on his Yukon and hates them. Says they flutter on the highway.

Had these on my last car, but found they didn't work as well at high-speeds or with alot of wind. Lifted off the windshield way too easy. There was a brand that had a built in "wing" that pushed the blade to the glass. Can't remember the name but will try to find out.

I purchased my car off my bestfriend (sickmax) who had the car finished, he decided he'd return it to stock, some of the most fortunate people got his modded parts, then he returned to stock and left sitting for 6 months with gunk and such building up alll over the car. The first day I drove teh car, it POURED I was buggin out becuase the wipers werent gonna work well after 6 months.
The Icons came through perfect, cleared the windshield like a pro. Their right, a bit pricey depending on if you look around but they're definatly worth the visibility.

My vote goes to Silblades. Had them on for 2 years now, they are just as good now as they were on day 1. I live in NY and they are holding up well with the change of seasons.

I've used rain-x for 5 months and its the way to go. www.rainx.com/offer I believe...google it...its like 50 plus tax you get blades and the stuff for your windshield. You can drive down the highway and not even use the blades...
You wont be dissatisfied.

also, because the water couldn't stay on the windshield, the wipers would become very shakey like slipping on the windshield and noisy.

there is another problem with Rain-X. the water drops which are very small would stay on the windshield like a fine mist, and when they hit light, the windshield would become very smoky regardless wiping them for no matter how many times.

after applying rain-x use a towel and wipe it dry...after a few minutes use a wet towel and wipe the windshield again then use another dry towel to dry the windshield. that gets rid of the wiper chatter and slipping and stuff. i use rainx and never had any chattering after i did that step =)
