Anyone get a CEL after underdrive crank pulley install?
Hey guys i just installed my light weight underdrive pulley and i now have an SES
light that i CAN NOT RESET! I've done it the manual way by the gas pedal combination reset method which i have used dozens of times and has always reset my ECU with no problems and turned off the the light. The light blinks 4 sets of blinks to give you a code. But this time its only 1 set of blinks and it blinks 8 times and just stays lit on the 8th blink. THen i turn the car back on and the SES light is still there
Anyone know what this code might be? And did any of you every have a CEL after pulley install?
I'm thinking either:
1) computer is sensing the accessories are spinning too slow relative to RPM
2) new pulley is making a new noise that the knock sensor is hearing and
tripping it.
My car seems great, very powerful and otherwise wonderful cept the light.

i remember something about a timing ring on the 3.5 udp. wish i could remember if it was needed or it was supposed to come without one.
the knock sensor is not hearing any noise coming from it and i know that it is spinning slower but i have not seen anyone get a cel from that. i am inclined to think it has something to do with the timing ring. did it come with on the udp or perhaps in a seperate package?

I had no issue on the 2002/3 UDP

I have the motorstorm pulley and never had any issue or CEL, if you have a 2k1 the pulley came with a timming ring other wise the car wouldn't run properly or even start. What you need to know is the PO error code, find someone with an OBDII consol or go at autozone, they will tell you right away if you know the code I can tell you what it is related to.
