I know some people have used the special paint to paint the rear turn signal so it looks red. My question is how durable is that paint since you cant prep the surface inside the light. Also the turn signal does not create that much heat since its not on constantly, any idea if this paint would hold up under higher temps? Trying to do some custom modifications to my light, but I dont want to mess with them if I'm gonna have the paint chipping away in a few months. Thanks for your help.

Just take your time and let it dry before applying more coats. Otherwise it'll run throughout the light housing.

I used the testors transparent candy apple red.

I haven't had any issues on my 4th gen with it, and this is that I painted the outsdie light housing, has been good for 3+ years.

I just used the same paint on my 5.5g, and like everyone else says, take your time.
