first, it kept on rattling under hard throttle, so I ducked under the car and took off that support bracket.

That fixed it, it doesn't hit anything under the car now. I can't tell from stock. No hissing, no rattle, very quiet.

Performance wise, well, I can't really tell, feel the 15 hp and 15 torque added across the power band, but I know the added power is there. Desert proved it.

I think the car pulls a little harder in the upper range. 4000 to 6500.

The car was fast even before the y-pipe, so you can't reallty tell 15hp and tq with the butt dyno, but I know it's there.

I've only driven the car for few hours, it will take me about a week to truly feel the power by driving on my "before and after a mod" calibration roads. I'll see how the car acclerates on the same roads.

It's good to know that i'm pushing about 240 at the crank. (OSCAI and Y-pipe combo.)
oh, and I have a Cali spec.

Probably the one next to the oil pan. Stillen's new pipe has that problem also. All you have to do is bend it so the metal piece doesn't bang against the car.

If its the bracket next to the oil pan, I have that one mounted in place. could this be the cause of "bees"

No, the bees sound is something else. This is the banging sound.

Oh well, I tried. (crash and burn)

Plan "B" What is a possible cause of the "bees"

Exhaust leak somewhere... probably from the flex section of the pipe or misplacement (or no) of the gaskets.

Just an educated guess...

Alright, I will do some testing tomorrow and see what I can come up with.

How did you luck up and not get that sound.
