I've seen problems where when the window is rolled up and down. It sometime catches the rubber window seals and causes the slow movement. check to see if that's the cause.

there's stuff you need to spray in the window channels which would grease that baby up and should make it go up and down faster. that's if your problem isn't something bigger. i remember reading about it once but can't recall what it's called.

my dealer said to clean the rubber weatherstrip, (easy enough) and also to lube the window channels on each side of the glass. i imagine this will not be as easy as it sounds because i don't want lube all over my windows everytime they go back down. anyone do this before?

lube them with what? and you shouldnt have the lube all over so long as you dont spray too much in and just wipe away the excess.

Use silicone spray lubricant, I used it and it worked great on all the window channels. You'll have to redo it every once in a while, especially when it's so cold out. You could replace the channels themselves as well. Your motor is probably getting tired if you have a lot of miles like i do. Eventually i'll replace mine. I've also had my auto up feature go crazy, i put the window up with the auto button, and it went up, then powered down like 4 inches. This happened to the previous owner once, he brought it to the dealer, and they couldn't replicate it. When it malfunctions, it sounds like it's not stopping and going to too far high, and then the auto mechanism returns it back 4 inches or so. It only does it once in a while, probably twice to me ever now. once it did it like 3 times when i tried to put it up again, then it finally stayed up the last time. When i get around to it in the spring i'm going to have the dealer check some of the weird stuff out, the sunroof, a couple rattles, that window, etc.

i'll try the lube but I dont think the rubber would slow it down so much, but hey you never know.

silicone lube. but that's easier said than done when your using a spray through the crack in the top of the door.

the only thing is that it is ONLY the passenger side front window that does this for me. i could maybe understand the driver's side but the passenger side hardley gets used.

when it's cold, it will run slowly anyway, and even when it's like 80 inside the max, the air between the door panel and door skin is still like 20, so the motor will run a lot slower. Since it's the pass side i'd say definitely the rubber track. Ask any honda or legend owner, they've probably replaced the entire track once or more.

all my windows run low again im in NY so its brick here but when I got the car in Nov they still ran low and it was 70 or so out side I think the motors on the windows are just not powerfull enough for some reason. when it rains or when its brick outside these windows hardly move. I think I'll try some wd40 on the motor to see if it helps any.

you're better off to spray the WD-40 on the tracks than the motor....

you think so? i would of thought the motor only because the weather here is so cold and the rain would get to the motor a bit so fig maybe some lubercation would help out but I guess the track also would do a difference

that's a safety feature that the max has where it prevents a child or animal from getting caught in the window while it's closing.

Its not the tracks making your windows slow. Its actually the regulator track. You need to remove the door panels. Find the White wheel on the top of the regulator. (window Up) Get some light lube/grease. Nissan regualtor grease works the best. Grease'lube the backside of the regulator where the track rides up and down on the metal regualtor. The white plastec piece that rides up and down on the track is what gets sticky and makes the window slow. You will see a much faster window after you do this.

I think one of the sticky's have a instruction sheet in removin the door panel but its not too hard just a couple of screws and you lift it up and wala you have removed your panel.

1. Get a can of "Silicon Dry", spray it on a cloth and lubricate on your rubber strip. The product dries really fast and will not leave too much grease on windows.

2. Maybe your window switch is done. Before you get a new one, take the rear window switch and put it at the front, see if it works better.

3. Motor is dieing.

I used to have the same problem, #1 and #2 should solve it.

Your window is out of time

You have to retime your window points. The reason it is doing that is at one time the battery was unhooked with the window partially open and it lost its memory. You can get to the reset switch which is on the motor itself ( little black nub) by removing the window switch, but is easier to remove the panel the first time so you know where it is. Its been awhile since I have done one but I will try my best to tell you correctly how to do it.
Step 1 Window fully down.
Step 2 Hold button on motor and move window (without) auto feature to full top posisition. Let go of button. Windo should work.
I cant remember for sure if you start in the full up or down position but its one or the other if it doesnt work do it the other way.
If im still wrong Iw ill oook it up Monday and let you know exactly how.

didnt know that the windows had a memory to them? that's wierd to have but I guess it could be true. I dont think my windows have any problems with the buttons they all work fine just. All the windows roll down slow and going up is a little fast but still slow, compared to other cars I've owned and been in.

I got it from Home Depot, the cost was around $9 CAD. I did in room temp, since NYC is so cold, do it in garage coz rubber gets really hard and the lube might not work well.
