When I accelerate through 3600-3700rpm, the engine has a very noticable hesitation. I was wondering if anybody else has had this. I've had it before, and a tuneup at a shop fixed it. I'd rather not drop that cash, and I want to know how to fix it myself. Please help.

I'm not stock. For some reason my thread didn't include my signature.

Amen brother!

My MAF was just replaced under warranty. I had the same symptoms and now I don't.

My repair was covered under my Nissan extended warranty at 87000 miles. I just topped 90000 miles so I hope nothing else breaks.

Damn, I have 82k and no extended warranty. I was going to try and clean it, but the screws that hold the sensor into the MAF housing are a very odd head and I don't have that bit. So, I put it off, not wanting to take my entire Injen pipe out.

Those are Torx screws but you don't need to take the sensor out of the housing to clean it. Take off the MAF section and spray electronics contact cleaner on the wire from a distance being careful not to have a direct, high pressure stream on it.
