AE Body Kit Help!

The front drivers side piece of trim on my stock AE body kit recently came loose, and I'm having a hell of a time getting it back on. The piece I'm talking about is just under the drivers door, and it goes from the front wheel well to midway down the left side. It is held in place by 3 plastic clips (which broke, leaving the trim hanging). I went down to my local Nissan service shop and they gave me the pieces, but I can't get the piece to clip back in for the life of me. Is there something I'm missing? Should this just press back into place? No matter what I do I can only get one of the clips to hold. At this point I'm going to have to bring my car into the shop and pay them to do what should be a 10 minute job, tops. Thanks for any help.

My trim did the same thing, just use 3m double sided tape. Then run a screw thru the bottom of the trim piece. Those plastic tabs are crap.

I had a feeling someone might say that, I was just hoping there was something else I could do. I actually already bought the tape. The trim on the pass side fits SO tight, I can't figure out whey the drivers side won't snap back in with the new clips. Looks like tape might be my only choice...I hate that though. Thanks for the info though.

So double stick tape is the only solution to make it fit tight. My rear center piece is starting to separate. You can tell if you look up close.
