I was cruizing the 2000 Maximas on cardomain.com a few months back. I came accross a 2000 Maxima that had a 2002 center console (around the shifter) It seemed like it was a perfect fit. Now I can't relocate the cardomain site. Does anyone know if this is infact possible, and where to get the best price on a 2002 shifter console? I only ask because the 2002 piece looks a lot better than the 2000, and the shifter boot (I have a 5 speed) is real leather. If anyone has information, I would appreciate it.

you would have to get a new shift boot if you wanted real leather, the 6-speed one is fake...i remember seeing this too, but cant recall who did it, it looked really nice though, and it looked like it was a perfect fit..

yeah i think it was, i wonder if the person that had it is an org member, thanks for the info about the boot i wasn't aware that even the 2002 is pleather. If anyone has any more info please let me me know

I've done it...perfect fit on the 2000/1 Maxima. The boot is from Redlinegoods.com (leather w/custom stitching)...I didn't really like the oem boot that came with the 2002/3 console (and no, it's not real leather, btw)
Also in this pic is the matching redline ebrake boot, ebrake handle (made by me) and AE shift ****....

note that Mclee has the OEM boot that comes with the 2k2-3 shift console, while I replaced mine with the Redline leather boot (from my original console)...

Great guys, thanks for the info. The next logical question would be, does anyone know where I can get a good price for a 2002/3 shifter console? I am really liking that mod and will most likely do it. It looks pretty easy to do. Irish, thanks for the info on Redline, I think I will go with that boot. I looks good. So again if anyone knows about prices either pm me of just post replies.
