Ebay intake buy or NO?? NEED HELP GUYS

After looking around for an intake i really can"t afford an injen CAI or any other major CAI. So i began looking at short ram intakes and them too are a little prices. I cam across some CAI, SRI and Filter adapters on ebay. I need some feedback if anyone has purchased these intakes and expeirences with them. Are there different horsepower between these low brand intakes? do these cause extensive damage to the motor? I am very worried about the buy because I dont want to F*** UP the motor since i'm still under warrenty.

You can buy a Ebay Intake a pipe is a pipe but the filter is a diffrent story replace that generic filter with a high quality K&N AND IT will be the same as injen placeracing etc...

just like he said, a pipe is a pipe. its just a piece of aluminum. order a K&N filter and cleaner for the right diameter, and then you have a great intake.

Some companies are good to the Nissan community, so they go to the trouble of designing and testing parts for us. I admit that an intake is not a very sophisticated piece of equipment, but at least they go to the trouble of trying to tune their intakes as best they can.

Other companies just copy the work of the larger companies or they simply stamp out pipes without much thought about tuning. Like I said above, this doesn't matter AS MUCH with an intake, since even the best CAI doesn't give much power if it's your only modification, but it is a serious problem with parts like headers (I haven't seen many companies copying Maxima headers, but there were a couple of small companies copying Hotshot headers for the Sentra).

like spiromax just said, good companies like jwt, stillen, injen all do testing on their products, they actually bring their parts to the dyno and do on vehicle testing. Their gains are proven unlike some of these companies with the knock off parts. Personally I'd rather pay more for proven performance, but If youre short on money, I'd say go with a name brand air filter like K&N...the ones that they give you just dont cut it.

Either that or start saving some money...

A pipe is a pipe as long as it is the right length and bend. That is the main reason beside the generic filter that I did not buy an Ebay intake.
