that write up is for a 2k2. our 2k-2k1 foglights are different. that is one of the few things that i have not attempted yet but maybe someone can inform you of a more relevant write up for the 2k-2k1.

yeah it is not to bad to change them...

lift the car and remove the plastic pieces under the front bumper so you can see the back of the fog assembly. there should be a bolt on top, remove it. you will see a white plastic tab holding the assembly in the bumper, just push it out and the assembly slides out of the front of the bumper....

i gotta change my fogs...my left one is out and i just replaced them. My splashguard on the left side was ripped off. do you think not having a splashguard has an effect on the left foglight going out?

Im pretty sure it is close to the same.....all you have have to do is unscrew the two screws behind the fog light.(you would have to unclip the black plastic from the bottom of the bumper). Once the screws are removed you just unplug the harness and push out the housing and make sure you dont drop it. Someone correct me if im wrong.

i have no real mods on my car and i was interested in installing maybe a cold air intake, but i heard that its not a good idea because the hose or sumtin for the air would be underneath the car and if i go in a puddle i could flood the engine or sumtin...is this true?

i think it is similar, the 00 and 01's do not have two screws holding the assembly in, just one and a white plastic tab through a metal hole. you need to remove the screw and push the tab through the hole, and yes i would recemend having one hand on the front of the assmbly when you push the tab through... i prob will fall and hurt itself...

I thought that it was something simalar....I just put a rolled up towel by the fog light becuase the first time I did it I ended up pushing onto the concrete and chipping the corner.
