i bought a 02 bumper among many other things for my 2000 max i just resently bought. Dealership said i could'nt use 2000 fogs on 02 bumper but then again they also told me i could'nt change my headlights to hid and i did with a simple wiring kit from courtesyparts and help from the org. has anyone actually tried this before and did the 2000 fogs fit in the 02 bumper? thanks
p.s. wtb stock oem grille for it as well.

you must use 02 fogs with 02 bumper. 5th gen fogs are different shape and size than 5.5, and i believe the lens is also made of different material

are the ones on ebay safe to buy? or does anyone know where to get them the cheapest? i bought the whole classic stillen 02 body kit so i figured id change the nose as well since i was painting everything but the nose with grille and fogs and paint is almost as much as the whole kit! oh well nothing to do now just gota keep moving foward. thanks

I think some ebay items are aftermarket fog lights, just make sure you get the correct ones. I'm sure the aftermarket is just as good as the oem.

i think you have to use the 5.5gen fogs. i dont think any aftermarket is gonna fit in there, becase the oem fogs are not flat. meaning, the lens or the front of the fog kind of comes out at an angle, its not flat, so it sits perfect on the hole. but if you get a flat one, or a aftermarket one, it probably wouldnt look flush or clean. i wish i have a pic of my actual fogs. but i dont know, you can go ahead and use the old ones if you want. im just letting you know how mine looks like. i hope you find your way to put some in those fog housing.

I don't think you can use the 5th gen fogs on 5.5 gen fog openings because they have different mounting hardware and mounting method.
