what is the best setup for exhaust?

I want to give my car the best performance in the exhaust area. I am confused as to all these parts are for. The Y Pipe gets rid of the cat closest to the front of the wheel, right? When I hear about "cat back exhaust system," is this piping and muffler connected to the cat then to the Y Pipe? Or do I get the B pipe instead? How much will the best complete setup cost me?
p.s. don't forget to look under the group buy section for the SS Cattman Y pipe for $400. It expires oct 13

Re: Re: yo_its_ok
Good deal!! So your by Shea. From what I know of the 300z brakes, rotor need to be ground down a bit and wheel clearance is a problem - really depends on which wheels you have.
Can you get hold of an ECU for a 96 SE 5 speed? Production date is 12/95. 2k muffler????
thanks!!

Just a normal repair shop, just doing installs on performance parts for customers. I personally have several accts with several companies and have access to hard to find parts. If you know the area well, there are several salvage yards to get factory parts, I can get my hands on 300 ZX calipers and rotors for around $200 for both sides, just figuring out how to do it on my own w/o turning to some kit.(never really seen it, but it's a technician thing.) Solve problem on my own.

Drop on by, I'd like to see other Maxima owners come on by, source everyone's thoughts together on how to improve a "family sedan" that rips on other "sports cars."
Cattman Y-Pipes from what I read in other threads, just too low, but I guess its just careless drivers, for me, I've done 4 installs, and haven't heard any problems from them, just enjoying the sound and power.
