Do you have those really annoying white marks (or black I guess depending on the color of your Max) on the lip of your bumper right below the trunk?

If so there is now a TSB regarding this matter. They list some VIN's and I guess if your car has these marks its now another admission of build quality problems (I know, I know, best car in the class for the money )

Does anyone have the TSB scanned like they did for the TCM problem? I'd be interested in how they propose to fix this problem seeing that the damage is already done. What are they going to do? Adjust the trunk? Repaint the lip?

Oh I can see it now...they will re-adjust the trunk hinges and pretty soon there will be another TSB because people trunks are becoming aquariums....

I kind of stopped paying so much attention to the car

cause it has so many assembly/build quality defects.

I am happy that my strut has finaly been fixed and now I have no creaking, knocking sound comming from there.

But the other day, some **** scratched my car with the key. My driver side door. About 8" long scratch. I hate people like that. ;(
Anyways, I will get it fixed soon.

So about anything else, I think I just won't pay attention to it anymore.

I am planning to sell it, if I get a chance next summer, I am graduating from school and I will get a full time job so I will, hopefully have some spare cash.
I want to get something that is at least assembled and build with the quality for what I am paying my money for.

Anyways. Max is a great car, this is my second one, but I am just not satisfied with that poor poor quality, espesially of this brand new 2000 SE.

Enjoy the Ride everybody.

I think I might want to just live with the problem than to let them try to mess with it. I agree if they don't adjust the truck correctly it might leak! I guess we will have to see what the plan to do about it.

dany.....I can sympathize with you.....

I feel the same way....I want to enjoy this car and I do now and then...heh...actually I love the power this sucker has and I'm starting to be able to handle the size and weight of the car so I don't put it into the wall in Turn 3 at Daytona

BUT...the whole build quality issue does **** me off to no end...panels that don't line up (trunk and right rear quarter...coincidence?) The never ending buzzes and rattles...the issue now of my seat moving and clicking, and of course no ***** of mine would be complete without mentioning my engine mount saga

I too may sell the car......not because I hate it......more like I don't have that "new car owners thrill" that I had with my Celica...seems like I've had issues with the car since day one and that sort of killed any happy, happy, joy, joy feelings that I may have had
