What do you guys think about carchip (OBDII Tool)?

Hi guys,

I saw this at local autozone.

http://www.davisnet.com/drive/produc...p_products.asp

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this product. Local autozone charges $20 to read engine codes (versus free at most places), and dealer charges $85 to read code and $225 to reset MIL light. So I was thinking of getting an OBDII tool, but would this be as equivalent to any other generic OBDII tool?

It seems to store codes (and engine parameters during the time the code(s) were tripped). It also says that it will reset the light.

Anyway, thanks for any help,

I got one for my car about a year ago.Even though they don't charge to scan around here , it's more convienent then going to autozone. Also,I'm not sure if autozone can legally clear the sel light. It's nice to have a saved record of all the trips I take and how the car is operating during those trips. If I have problems it can give me one more thing to troubleshoot with.
