Absolute Pressure Sensor...what is it..i got the the code P0107 bank1...
would this be an O2 sensor...the odbII said the car was running lean and had error code P0107 Bank 1.....i though it was the MAF but then i read up and it says its the Absolute Pressure Sensor...i have no idea what that is...anyhelp thanks in advance.....would save me a trip to the dealer...
It's the sensor connected to the bracket that holds your ECU in the passenger footwell area.
FSM says:
1)Tighten ground screws next to the oil filler cap with ignition switch OFF.
2)Check sensor harness connector for water.
3)Turn ignition ON and check voltage between APS terminal #1(with tab on top pin order is 3-2-1) and ground and the voltage should be ~5Volts.
4)Turn ignition OFF and check continuity between APS terminal #3 and engine ground. Continuity should exist. Also, check harness for short to power.

If everything is GOOD that far, there are more steps if you have a vacuum guage.

thanks for the reply...you seem to know what ur takling about but i dont think im able to do all that.....i dont have a volt reader and dont understand what the APS terminal is....thanks a lot for the reply but this is probably something the dealer would have to diagnose...thanks man
terminal = pin, the electrical connector that plugs into the APS(Absolute Pressure Sensor) has three wires/three pins in the connector.
In step 3), you disconnect the electrical connector and with it facing you and the tab on top, you put one end of the multimeter on pin/terminal/wire #1 and the other on a screw or piece of metal. If you have the mulimeter on Volts, it should be around 5.xxx Volts.
You can pick up a digital multimeter at Walmart for <$20 and it's really simple to use.
