has anbody ever noticed this????

i was just doing an oil change when i noticed grease on each side of the cv boot. not the part towards the hub but the next towards the center. the press clamps aree tight and there are no tears. but both sides have like an ooze coming from them. at first i thought the clamp came off but it was just dirty. might have to bring it in. im lowering my car soon and dont want themto say that was the cause. thanks ahead.

yeah i noticed a white grease coming out of mine.

when i squeezed it i found out that there was a paper thin slit in it.

extremely slow leak though. no extreme rush to fix.

I noticed both CV boots on my 02 looked oily when new. When I mentioned it to the dealer, the service advisor said they "misted" on all cars. Was not much impressed with this advice but have watched them weekly for two years and they never changed. Maybe he was right since when I had one tear on another vehicle, it is kind of notable.
